Sea Life Park & Sandy Beach

Yesterday was another extremely fun day. When we got back to our hotel we all were in bed by 8:00. Okay, so the kids were beyond silly and kept giggling, but they were in bed (with the tired sillies).

We went to the Sea Life Park on the south east side of the island. This is an interactive park where you an swim with dolphins, play with the sea lions, go underwater with sting ray, and more. We decided just to go to the park and see the animals, and the shows. It was exciting watching all the sea life, and fun learning more about them.

Dolphin Cove Show

We watched the dolphins jump, flip, play, and swim. The Whalphin (mix between whale and dolphin) was also part of the show.

We stopped by the Sea Turtle pool and saw about 10 turtles being fed lunch.

Sting Ray Ballet

A diver got into the tank with the sting ray and fish and pretty much danced with the sting ray. If she put her hand right under their "Chin" they would follow along with her hand and then she would feed them what looked like deli ham.

Hawaii Ocean Show

The tank in this show had glass walls so we could see what the dolphins were doing under the water, as well as above. We also saw sea lions and penguins that came out in front of the big tank to entertain us.

Sea Lion Feeding

We finished up at the Sea Life Park by feeding the Sea Lions. The kids dropped the fish right into the sea lions mouth. Each sea lion has a certain spot at the fence that they are fed, it's like their spot at the dinner table. Kaylee and Gabby got to feed the less aggresive girl sea lions. After Gabby had fed the Sea Lion for a minute she was done touching dead fish and let Paul take over feeding her sea lion for her.

Sandy Beach

On our way back to the hotel we stopped at Sandy Beach to play for a bit. The waves were bigger at this beach than the other ones we have been to (so far) so we told the girls they couldn't just run and play in the water. Kaylee took this and decided she didn't want to play in the water at all.
