Weekly Review - October 11-17

We are getting all settled after moving last weekend. Thankfully my week hasn't been all run around, packing, and moving.

Sunday, October 11 - A couple weeks ago Marla (my little sister) helped the kids make tie-dye shirts. All the kids wore their shirts to my parent's house for Sunday dinner.

Monday, October 12 - Family Home Evening with Wendy's family. We played a cars game that Roman got for his birthday.

Tuesday, October 13 - The girls had gymnastics. They have been working hard, and love going to class. Gymnastics is definately one of their favorite things.

Wednesday, October 14 - I got the last of my stuff from my house in Spanish Fork. It's empty and ready to go. Here's a cute picture of Kaylee, Gabby, and Roman rolling down the hill together.

Thursday, October 15 - It was my grandma's 88th birthday on Wednesday. Since my kids had Fall Break from school Thursday and Friday my mom and I went up to Logan to visit my grandma.

Friday, October 16 - I signed closing papers for my house!!! Yay!! It's sold, signed, posted, GONE!!! Wendy volunteered to watch my girls while I signed closing papers. While I was gone they decorated foam crowns with jewels.

Saturday, October 17 - We went to the Salt Lake City Library Book Sale, Farmer's Market Downtown, took Kaylee to a birthday party at Color Me Mine for her friend Jessica, then we went to Hee Haw Farms pumpkin Patch with a huge group (mostly family, some friends we got about 30 people to come in our group).

Day Trip to Logan: Gossner's, Pepperidge Farm, Grandma's house

Yesterday my mom and I went up to Logan, UT. Wednesday was my grandma's 88th birthday but we were loading up the last of my stuff out of my house on Wednesday, and my kids had school so Wednesday was out. Since my kids have fall break Thursday, and Friday we decided to go up to visit my grandma.

We made a few stops along our way to my grandma's house. Our first stop was at Gossner's Cheese in Logan. This is one of my girl's favorite places even though they had never been there before. They loved when Marla would stop there and get them sqeeky cheese, and drink boxes of milk. They walked in the door and enjoyed some samples, checked out where they make the cheese, and of course bought squeeky cheese and milk boxes.

Next Stop: Pepperidge Farms in Richmond, UT north of Logan. The girls enjoyed cookie and goldfish cracker samples, and shopping for discounted cookies and such. Lots of fun!!!

Then we headed west to Trenton, UT to my aunt and grandma's house. We enjoyed visiting with my grandma for a while. The girls found some games to play (and make patterns with). I don't see my grandma very much since she moved up to my aunt's house in Trenton so it was really nice to visit.

It was starting to get pretty late and we hadn't eaten dinner yet so we headed back to Logan to go to dinner with my little sister's (Marla) roommate Tiffany that has become an amazing family friend (she is getting married to my brother's old mission companion). We picked her up from her apartment at Utah State University and ended up at IHOP for dinner.

We dropped Tiffany back off to her apartment and headed back to Salt Lake City. On our way out of Logan we drove past the Logan Temple.

Gymnastics winners!!!

About a month ago I entered a giveaway on the Giveaway Today blog. This is a blog that has a different giveaway everyday (mostly Utah giveaways). I have entered several of these but have never won...until...I won FREE gymnastics for my kids for a month!!! It's a new gym that is trying to get it's name out so they submited to have this giveaway. Last week was their first week at Jump Up Gymnastic in Lehi. My kids love gymnastics. They have been wanting to go back for months (to their old gym) but with the school they go to I couldn't justify (or afford) to send to gymnastics too. So, they are beyond thrilled to be going to gymnastics again.

Weekly Review - October 4-10

Moving Week! Insanity, messes, boxes, and more!!

Sunday, October 4 - This weekend is General Conference weekend. Paul's uncle, aunt and cousins were here visiting from Alaska, and his aunt and uncle were here visiting from Washington. They had a big family get-together so everyone could visit. It was a lot of fun seeing so many of Paul's family.

Monday, October 5 - Everyday I have been bringing at least one full car load, but usually two car loads of boxes and stuff to Wendy's house so that there wouldn't be so much to move on Saturday. This resulted in several piles up to the ceiling. (This picture is a very small portion of my stuff)

Tuesday, October 6 - About a month ago I entered a blog giveaway on the Giveaway Today site. If you haven't checked it out (especially if you live in Utah) you should go check it out...they have a new giveaway everyday. Last month I won one of their giveaways for free gymnastics for a month for 2 kids. It's a new gym in Lehi and they are trying to get their name out so they had this giveaway. So, this was their first free month class at Jump Up Gymnastics in Lehi.

Wednesday, October 7 - School for the girls, packing, piles, boxes, loading up my car with boxes...that pretty much sums up my day. SOOOOOOO sick of packing and moving!!!

Thursday, October 8 - I took yet another couple full car loads to Wendy's house. One of the things in the car was a bubble mower. Gabby and Roman had lots of fun playing with it. It was especially entertaining when Roman was pushing Gabby on the....ummm...I guess riding lawnmower now.

Friday, October 9 - My mom came to help me with packing. We were working on packing up the garage and Gabby found the sled and was trying really hard to sled down the driveway. This was the very last night of sleeping in our Spanish Fork house (Yes, this is really how Gabby was sleeping)

Saturday, October 10 - Moving Day!!! Our big moving day finally arrived. I mostly just had furniture left (since all my boxes went up in my car over the last 2 weeks). I had a lot of amazing people come and help me load up trucks and move, and then arrange things at my sister's house. I didn't get many pictures and the ones that I did get were with my horrible camera phone...here's the highlights.

The best way to get a mattress down the stairs? Ride on it of course!

The best way to get that same mattress to the truck? Have 3 kids put it on their heads and carry it!

What to do with the mattress when it arrives at it's destination? Hope the bed fits together with a few screws missing and put it back on the bed.

Weekly Review - September 27-October 3

Sunday, September 27 - Marla got a tye-dye kit and took the kids out in my parent's backyard to make tye-daye shirts. I was to late getting outside to get a picture of them actually doing the tye-dye...I got them just coming into the house.

Monday, September 28 - For Sale - 2005 Dodge Stratus - Works great! New spark plugs and wires, clean fuel injectors, great small family car...my car is for sale since I bought us a new one. If anyone knows someone that is looking to buy a nice used car send them my way!!

Tuesday, September 29 - While I was busy packing and cleaning our house Gabby sat on the couch with her new hat from the circus and watched Dora that we rented from Redbox.

Wednesday, September 30 - I have been taking loads of boxes to Wendy's house everyday. Gabby was pretending to take a nap on Wendy's family room floor.

Thursday, October 1 - Wendy and I took Gabby and Roman to Tracy Aviary for their free day. We saw lots of different birds, and a cute baby flamingo.

Friday, October 2 - Packing, cleaning, moving, packing, cleaning, moving, repeat...oh yeah, and take kids to school.

Saturday, October 3 - We went to the bewitched event at Gardner Village with Janeene, Wendy, Marla, and the kids.

Gardner Village - Bewitched

Last night after a long day of packing up my house to get ready to move Marla and I met up with Janeene and Wendy at Gardner Village for their halloween bewitched event. They have different witches all around the village shoppes and a scavenger hunt that if you find all the different witches and write down where you find them you can go get a chocolate chip cookie.

Marla and Kaylee found a witch sitting on a bench waiting for a hug:

A few pictures from around town with the kids:

We ran into Kelly (from my parent's neighborhood) and my kids agreed to take a picture with her because she said she was a princess witch or a grandma witch...not a scary witch.

Tracy Aviary

Every month on the first thursday of the month Tracy Aviary has a free admission day for people with zoo memberships. Wendy and I planned to go since Wendy has a zoo membership...then we found out that the same day that was free admission with zoo membership was also free admission for UEA weekend. We decided to go anyway; while Kaylee was at school we took Gabby and Roman. We rented a wagon for $3 and it was totally worth it!!! There wasn't a whole lot to see (we are used to going to the zoo) and spent about an hour there and were ready to go. It was still tons of fun, and there was a baby flamingo that was cute.

Gabby forgot her sunglasses. So she wore mine:

There was a little school house with chalkboard walls for the kids to write messages on. Gabby and Roman loved it!

Right outside the little schoolhouse was a wall to compare what bird you are the same height as.

It was lunch time for the pelicans. We sat and watched them eat their lunch. Then we went and found lunch for us.
