Elementary School Carnival

Our friends told us about the elementary school by our house having a carnival on Sept. 9, and we HAD to go check it out. It was supposed to be an end of school year carnival but when school ended in June it was raining to much for the carnival, and the river was threatening to completely flood out the park, so they postponed it to the beginning of this school year. I told Wendy about it and they decided to join us too. Paul couldn't get his car to start in the morning so he ended up taking my car to work, so we walked to the school. It was a nice walk, it wasn't to hot, and it even sprinkled on us a little bit. When we got to the school I bought a punch card because each of the activities cost a certain amount of punches. Roman really wanted to start with the bounce houses so we headed over that way to let them play. Roman had a really hard time getting up the ladder on one of the bounce houses. We were so happy to see that a young man was willing to help push and pull him up the ladder. As we were watching Roman with the help of the other boy getting up the ladder I realized that the other boy was one of my neighbors and he was so incredibly sweet for helping.

Next the girls really wanted to head over to the pony rides. They were so excited to go on the pony rides. Roman still wanted to play on the bounce houses a little longer so he caught up with us after he played a bit longer and then went on the pony.

The thing that Gabby was the most very most excited about however was the icee's. She LOVES them and couldn't wait to get there. While Gabby went to get an icee Kaylee wanted to go get her hair sprayed with color. While she was waiting in line Roman came to join her because he wanted a big red U sprayed onto his head.

As we were getting close to being done at the carnival there was some pretty loud thunder and the clouds looked pretty ominous. I quickly found Wendy and they said they would give us a ride home so we didn't have to walk in the rain that looked like may start at any time.
