Pearson Family Reunion - Pineview Reservoir

On July 9th we went up to Pineview Reservoir for a day packed full of fun and family. My Uncle Dennis has hosted the family reunion the last few years and last year they decided to have the family reunion up at Pineview Reservoir. It was a huge success last year, and so they scheduled it for the same place again this year.

They rented a pontoon boat, a couple of sea-doos, and an inflatable to pull behind the boat. We got up there pretty early in the day and got to be in the first group on the boat. The girls put on their life vests and hopped on the boat. As we were cruising around (Paul was on a Sea-Doo cruising around the reservoir) my Uncle Don let Kaylee drive the boat. Kaylee LOVED driving the boat.

After she was done driving we stopped to pull my cousin and her kids off the inflatable, and Marla went with Kaylee on the inflatable next. Paul cruised around the area on the Sea-Doo while Marla and Kaylee held on as tight as they could to the handles on the inflatable.

When we got back to our area after the boat ride we ate lunch, and then the girls went out on the Sea-Doo with Paul. They played in the lake, in the sand, played with their cousins, and just all around played all day long.

It was so fun seeing all of my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I got to visit with all of my family, and have an extremely fun filled day. We had a catered dinner and desert and then called it a day. We were all exhausted when we headed home.

Planet Play - July 8

I had purchased a deal voucher for Planet Play (an arcade, game, and dinner buffet), so we decided since Paul got off work really early we would go use it. We got lunch for all 4 of us, as well as five $10 play cards. We got there and decided to eat first and then see what kind of fun things there were to do. After we ate our lunch we started off playing a few arcade games and then found the mini golf course. The kids had a hard time holding the golf club the right way, but they had lots of fun trying, and had tons of fun hitting the ball around the course.

After mini golf we looked around, played a few more arcade games, and then we found mini bowling. I really liked the mini bowling. It was cute, and really easy to roll the mini balls.

After we were done bowling we spent most of the time we were there playing arcade games and riding the little rides. The last thing we did was the race track. The girls were both to small to drive a car so Paul took Gabby on the racetrack, and then Kaylee went with me.

Independence Day with Friends

On the Fourth of July we went over to our friends Mike and Amy's house. We went to the park and had a picnic, and then joined their neighbors in the circle by their house for fireworks. It was in the neighborhood Paul grew up in so he knew some of the neighbors, as well as Mike's parents. Mike and Amy have a little boy and girl, as well as a baby boy so the girls had lots of fun going over there. Paul and Mike even let the girls help to light a couple of small fireworks. We had so much fun visiting with friends, and watching tons of fireworks. When we were on our way home the fireworks at the park had just gotten over which made it nearly impossible to get home. We got stuck in the traffic from the park and we didn't even go to those fireworks.

Independence Day fun with my family

Since the Fourth of July is on a Monday this year we got to celebrate ALL weekend. On Sunday, July 3 we went to my cousin's house after her baby's blessing, and then we headed over to my parent's house for dinner. After dinner we went over to my sister Janeene's house to set off fireworks. This year Utah made aerial fireworks legal so Paul and Marla were super excited to set off fireworks this year. They put on quite the show. While we waited for it to get dark enough for fireworks the kids enjoyed parachute fireworks, Popsicles, and sparklers. We had fun watching all the fireworks, then we got the kids home and into bed to get ready for more fun on Monday.

Playing with Cousins & a Baby Blessing

On July 3 we were invited to go to a baby blessing for my cousin Tiffany's new baby Jacob. We went to the church and enjoyed the amazing blessing, and then we went over to the park near her house while we waited for her to finish up with stuff at church so we could go visit at her house. My sister Janeene and her kids also came with us over to the park to play. The kids were so excited to play at "Castle Park" but after an hour we were all dying of the summer heat and ready to head over to Tiffany's house.

We went over to Tiffany's house and enjoyed a nice luncheon with my extended family. It was fun visiting with my cousins that I don't see often enough. Since I just got a new camera my cousin asked me to take a few pictures of her family on Jacob's special day.
