Weekly Review - April 12-18

The girls had spring break this week. They had the WHOLE week off school. We stayed at my parent's house for the week because I knew I would go insane at my house with the kids all week.

Sunday - April 12 - HAPPY EASTER!!! It was Easter Sunday and I was sick. The girls enjoyed their Easter surprises. I helped them get ready for church and they went to church with my mom and little sister. Here they are in their Easter dresses.

Monday - April 13 - After being sick on Sunday I was feeling much better. We just hung around at my parent's house because even though I was feeling better I really didn't feel like doing anything...including taking pictures. My mom reminded me to take a picture of the day...Did I? No!!! Grrrrr...Oh well.

Tuesday - April 14 - After being at my parent's house since Friday we went home to do some laundry, get a few things done around the house, and have some quiet, at home time. On our way home we stopped at Wendy's house and went shopping at the mall. We took the kids and let them play in the play area at the mall. Here is Kaylee modeling one of the cute new dresses that we got at Gymboree with my Gymbucks.

Wednesday - April 15 - This is the day that my dad celebrates every year. Tax Day!!! The end of tax season. He's an accountant and has been incredibly busy at work. Today we went back up to Wendy's house and then back over to my parent's house after getting a few things done around our house. Kaylee had bought bubbles at Gymboree and they had tons of fun with Bella (our dog) chasing and popping (and eating) the bubbles.

Thursday - April 16 - I took my car to get the oil changed at the dealership. I left my car there for them to do it and my dad picked me up so I wouldn't have to wait for my car. I also had the dealership rotate my tires. When I picked up my car and was driving my car it was shaking like crazy!!! I did not want to go back to the dealership because I have NOT had good experiences with their service department so I decided to go to Les Schwab and asked them to re-rotate my tires because it was not driving smooth...it was shaking. They looked at my front tires and were shocked that the dealership would let me leave with those tires and showed me the problem. I ended up buying 2 new tires and my car drives amazingly smooth now. I have decided I will NOT take my car back to the dealership to have anything done on it ever again. My tires were REALLY BAD and they should have caught that when they rotated the tires. Okay...this whole story has NOTHING to do with my cute picture of the day. Here is Gabby making Juice to go with dinner.

Friday - April 17 - Like I said on the 15th...my dad is happy that tax season is over. He took the day off work and had a nice day at home. Gabby took my picture of the day for today. Here is my parents and Ariana asleep on the couch. I babysat Ariana today (My sister's little girl) because she hadn't slept very well and my sister didn't want to take her to the sitter.

Saturday - April 18 - We had a fun and busy day today. We started our day by going to Paul's parent's house for an Easter brunch and egg dying/decorating party. Then we went to my cousin's bridal shower, and Kaylee had fun cleaning my parent's playhouse.

More Easter Fun (and other fun stuff)

Paul's family didn't get a chance to get together for Easter last weekend. So, this weekend they had an Easter Brunch and Egg Dying/Decorating party. It was an amazingly beautiful day out today and they got to dye eggs outside, and play with their cousins. Since Paul is in Hawaii and couldn't come with me I took Marla (my little sister) with me.

After the Easter Brunch at Paul's parent's house we went to my cousin's house for a bridal shower for my cousin Allison that is getting married next weekend. They played a game at the bridal shower where two teams have to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper and tissue paper. My youngest sister Marla was chosen to be dressed up for one team and the other team dressed up the bride-to-be Allison.

Kaylee wanted to ride home with my mom (back to her house) and they left the bridal shower before the dress up game ever started...so, they got back to my parent's house about an hour before Marla, Gabby, and I got back. Kaylee wanted to play out on the playset but it was dirty from the winter weather. She asked my mom for a cloth to clean the slide. My mom gave her some cleaner and a rag and Kaylee went out and cleaned the whole playhouse. When Marla and I got back she was just finishing cleaning (and the playhouse looks much better now.)

Weekly Review April 5-11

Sorry for the delay in getting this weeks Weekly Review posted. I spent the weekend at my parent's house...I forgot to post it and just remembered. So, I figure, better late than never. Right?

April 5 - It was such a nice day out. We walked over to the duck pond near our house and fed the ducks.

April 6 - We went up to Wendy's house because I needed to go over to the National Guard headquarters to get a new military ID. We were going to hang out at Wendy's house for a while but the girls were just so tired that after a few breakdowns we left to head for home. Both girls fell asleep on the way home and didn't want to wake up when we got home.

April 7 - Kids went to school, I cleaned the house. Just another day in my life. I bought Gabby this cute dress.

April 8 - Kaylee had a tummy ache and both the girls were really tired. They got ready and went to bed at 7:00. They fell right to sleep and woke up feeling much better.

April 9 - OH MAN!!! I didn't get a picture today!! I was getting the house cleaned up and ready to go to my parent's house for the weekend. The kids had school...but I forgot to get a picture.

April 10 - Kaylee's class at school has been having a reading competition. Today they had a book party to celebrate everyone doing so well with their reading. They got to dress up as their favorite storybook character. After school we headed up to Wendy's house. While I was helping Wendy paint the playroom Marla took the kids outside to "Drive" her car in the driveway.

April 11 - We went to my parent's house and had an Easter Egg hunt.

Easter fun!

Saturday

This weekend was fun as we celebrated Easter. Our fun started on Saturday at my parent's house dying Easter eggs with their cousins.
While the kids dyed Easter Eggs I went outside and hid eggs for the egg hunt. We had the eggs so that each of the kids had to look for certain eggs. Kaylee found Disney Princess Eggs, Gabby found Tinkerbell, Roman found Disney Cars, Jaren and Savannah found eggs with animal stickers on them. They did really well, whenever they found an egg that wasn't theirs they would yell out who's egg they found and take it to them.Kaylee found one of Roman's eggs in the playhouse...Gabby found a dandelion and was thrilled!!!Roman and Gabby found some eggs in the playhouse tunnel.
After the egg hunt (and Pizza for dinner) the kids all got a dress or outfit from my parents and tried them on (except Ariana because she was asleep). Here's the silly kids in their clothes from Grandma and Papa.
Sunday

I think I went a little overboard on Easter (I feel bad that Paul wasn't here and I think I tried to compensate for him being gone.) Anyway...my kids were a little too spoiled. On Sunday this is what my kids woke up to find.
When Gabby woke up she just stared at the table and said "Who's birthday is it?"Here's what it looked like after they raided their treasures.
I woke up on Sunday really not feeling well...I did NOT want to move off the couch. Since we stayed at my parent's house this weekend the girls got to go to church with my mom and Marla. Here they are in their Easter dresses ready to go to church.

Weekly Review March 29-April 4

It didn't seem like to busy of a week...then I looked at my pictures and thought...hmmm...we did do stuff this week.

March 29 - We had Gabby's Birthday dinner and party at my parent's house. We got her a Hawaii cake because she is really anxious to move to Hawaii. We had Gabby's favorite food for dinner: Pancakes, Ham, and Fruit.

March 30 - After school the kids pulled out a game that Brenda gave Gabby for her birthday and played. They had fun with the game, and then had fun just connecting the pieces.

March 31 - I can not remember what we did today. I know I took the girls to school...but other than that I think we just did homework and housework...and other everyday things.

April 1 - After picking Kaylee up from school we went to Wendy's house and helped her get a few more things unpacked. Then we ate dinner there and Kaylee helped make an Oreo Cream pie (and she loved it!)

April 2 - Wendy and Roman came down to our house today. We had planned to scrapbook but didn't really feel like it. Wendy helped me clean my house up instead. Then I gave the kids a bath and turned on a movie before bed.

April 3 - We went to Wendy's house again, then we went shopping to find a birthday present for my bro-in-law Dave. That took us to South Towne Mall and the kids wanted to ride on the Carousel.

April 4 - I'm back at my parent's house for General Conference weekend. I didn't hear much of conference between the yelling and playing of 5 kids running around. But the kids had fun...and I ended up with a huge headache! I can't decide which picture of the day to use. The first one Kaylee is reading one of her school books to Wendy and Roman. The other picture the kids were watching Playhouse Disney on my laptop.
